Parenting Classes

Parenting classes is where it all starts at COPE Family Support.

Would you like to calm the family chaos?
Are your kids hurting? Are you all in crisis?
Are you frustrated with the communication breakdown?

By giving parents the knowledge, skills and confidence to create a nurturing environment for their children, no matter the situation, we help parents and children establish a sense of security and understanding. Our parenting classes are held in a group setting with other parents so everyone can learn from others as well as our highly trained practitioners.

We start by strengthening relationships through these parenting classes, which are often paired with counseling and therapy.

Si no hay clases en español en la lista, envíe un correo electrónico a angel.martinez@copefamilysupport.org para agregarse a nuestra lista de espera.

Triple P Positive Parenting Program

The Triple P Positive Parenting Program® has been demonstrated to prevent and treat behavioral, emotional and developmental problems in children by enhancing the knowledge, skills, and confidence of parents. All of this is done through a strength-based and self-reflective approach that builds upon existing parenting strengths. The flexibility and scope of the system enables it to be offered in a variety of settings with a diverse range of practitioners and target populations. COPE’s practitioners are accredited on the wide array of curriculum created by this program.

TRIPLE P GOALS are to:

  • Promote the independence and health of families through the enhancement of parents’ knowledge, skills, and confidence.
  • Further the development of non-violent, protective, and nurturing environments for children.
  • Support the development, growth, health, and social competence of young children.
  • Reduce the incidence of child maltreatment, behavioral and emotional problems in childhood and adolescence, delinquency, substance abuse and academic failure.
  • Enhance the competence, resourcefulness, and self-sufficiency of parenting while raising their children
