Co-Parent Counseling (Court-Approved)
COPE’s court-approved co-parent counseling helps separated or divorced parents work together more effectively in the best interest of their children. With a neutral, supportive therapist guiding the process, co-parents develop communication strategies, clarify boundaries, and reduce conflict to promote stable, child-centered co-parenting relationships.
This service is especially helpful for high-conflict parents who struggle to make joint decisions or maintain consistent parenting strategies across households. Co-parent counseling addresses frequent disputes, miscommunication, and parenting role confusion by teaching collaborative problem-solving and respectful negotiation techniques. The goal is to foster a peaceful, structured environment for children, minimizing their exposure to parental conflict and instability.

Completion of COPE’s Triple P Transitions parenting class is a required prerequisite for co-parent counseling.
Triple P Transitions is a court-recognized, evidence-based program designed specifically for parents navigating separation, divorce, and new family dynamics. The class equips parents with essential skills to manage their own emotional reactions, reduce conflict with the other parent, and support their children’s adjustment through family change. By focusing on positive parenting strategies, emotional self-regulation, and respectful communication, Transitions lays the foundation for more productive and solution-focused counseling sessions. This alignment with court requirements ensures parents are better prepared to co-parent constructively and prioritize their children’s long-term well-being.
